Hello friends and family,

We hope this email finds you well and that you are having a wonderful summer. We would like to invite you to join us at our 2 nd annual “Live Like Bub” fundraising event Tuesday, August 27th, at Canyon Club Brewery in Moraga anytime between 5 and 9pm.

In aligning with our Veterans and First Responders pillar, this year we have chosen to donate the money raised on that evening to The Gary Sinese Foundation (GSF).v“At the Gary Sinese Foundation, we serve our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. We do this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities”.

GSF has earned a 4 star charity rating, and we felt somewhat of a personal connection to it as well. Gary Sinese’s son, Mac, passed away from cancer in January of this year at age 33. Mac Sinese was a young man committed to service as well as an avid musician and drummer, and Bub loved to play the drums when he was younger.

So, we hope that you can join us in honoring and supporting those who ensure our freedom and safety every day as we honor the legacy of Bub. Stop by and say hi, or have dinner and a drink (Canyon Club again will be generously donating 10% of their sales from the evening to our foundation). We would love to see you and the weather should be beautiful.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone who you feel may be interested in attending and remember to Live Like Bub!

Thank you as always for your continued love and support,

Dan, Leslee, Dominic and Alex

Friends and Family,

We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we reflect on the incredible turnout at the first annual #livelikebub event at Canyon Club Brewery! Your presence and support made this day truly special, and we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you.

A special shoutout goes to the fantastic team at Canyon Club Brewery for opening their doors and hearts to our cause. Your hospitality and dedication made the event a resounding success.

We also want to express our deep appreciation to Be The Match and Alex's Lemonade Stand for partnering with us. Your commitment to saving lives and fighting childhood cancer is nothing short of inspiring, and we are proud to stand beside you in this important mission.

Thank you once again for being a part of the livelikebub family and making our first annual event a day to remember. We look forward to many more opportunities to come together and create positive change in our community.

Memories and Testimonials

To my deepest and most amazing friends Leslee and Dan who have been in my life when friends defined who you were and where you were going. Bub was a leader, a man with a mission and had the confidence to be himself no matter what that started at a very young age. To be exact when he took it upon himself to be the resident life guard at age 6? During our annual Carmel Valley summer vacations. Looking back, what strikes me the most is that none of the kids gave him hell for it or tried to put him down. They all felt that this was Bub like it or not!! And we all liked it! It takes amazing parents to inspire and instill that level of confidence in their children but even more amazing is a child that understands his gifts and runs with it. Bubby you were older than your years and left a legacy of being you in all your young wisdom and ethics. Love you

Hey Dan,

I was reading this article today in Taiwan waiting to talk to the opposition political party re the threat of Chinese aggression in the Strait.

I do these types of trips all the time and I think about JV at every single meeting where we talk geopolitical strategy.

This article below was one that I know JV would have loved. He would have picked it apart, developing his own analysis that generated a likely better organizational strategy than any a general or cabinet member could present.

Just wanted to let you know that I think of him often and I really miss our talks.

 All my best,

C.B.

Mr and Mrs Baldwin -

I have been thinking about you two, Dominic, JV, and Alex non stop for a few days. I would do anything in the world to bring Bub back.

I just wanted to let you know how incredible of a time I had in San Diego hanging out with him for a couple of days. After Michael’s ceremony, Coach Macy, Bubby, and I went to a cool brewery to hang out with Michael, the other seals, and their families. When we got there, Bub looked at me and insisted he was driving my car back to the hotel so I could have a few beers. I tried to argue but he insisted because he didn’t want to drink with his surgery coming up. We fought over the bill when it came and we both started laughing. I couldn’t understand how he could be so nice to let me drink and then try to pay for our meals and my beers haha. He was the best!!

The two of us had the pleasure of speaking with David Hansen and Johnny Kim that day. These guys are two of the most accomplished Navy Seals of all time. Bubby and I asked questions and spoke with each of them for quite awhile. I wish I could’ve taken a picture of the smile he had on his face that day.

(He prepped me before the conversations and wanted to make sure I was respectful of their boundaries) He was the best!!

The next day we toured the USS Midway for a few hours before his flight home. I brought along my college roommate Briggs. As you both probably know, Bub knew everything about the ship. His military knowledge inspired me every time I spoke with him.

We had our own personal tour guide with Bubby. He told us stories about the ship that the old guys working there, who lived on the ship back in the day, didn’t even know.

We had meals together, laughed together, and caught up on both of our lives that weekend. It is a trip I will always remember and will cherish forever.

I love you both so much and can’t wait to hug you guys.

I love this foundation and your communications to the community, your gallery and expressions, they always bring tears to my eyes. You did a wonderful job raising an amazing guy and continue to do a beautiful job with his legacy. Keep spreading his world views and love, God knows the world needs it. Miss you all.
